Blankets. All sizes especially 'throw rug' size. If you wish to make squares (say 25cm) I can then join them up to make whatever blanket size they require as sometimes they need from cot to single bed size.

Sets and dresses are always put to good use

Knitted bears or toys can also be used (with no sewn on buttons or attachments that can potentially be swallowed)

Please note we have an adequate supply of beanies at present so do not require any of these currently.

from the CEO..."The women love the knitted and crocheted blankets that we sometimes get and when available we give each family one blanket to take when they leave the shelter. Knitted toys & baby clothes for the women that come in pregnant, basically anything you wish to donate will be very much appreciated and will be given out to both the women and children "

Aboriginal Coloured (Red, Yellow, Black) Beanies and Scarves of all sizes. Also crib and cot blankets (any colours) for the Grandparents Program. i.e. Grandparents raising grandchildren for various reasons.

Kaleidoscope / Wallsend Hospital Hunter Child Protection, Family Counselling and Sexual Assaulthttp://www.kaleidoscope (NSW)

Toys, especially teddy bears. Rugs (43"/110cm square) (used for comforting victims of violence - all ages). 12"/30cm knitted or crocheted squares (to be put together as rugs). Beanies and scarves (for the Child Protection and Street Kids unit). Newborn baby to 6yo clothes (jackets, cardigans, jumpers, etc). For the sewing ladies: Bead bags (simple drawstring bags with a finished size of 15cm x 15cm, preferably in bright colours used to hold beads which cancer kids sew onto a small wall hanging as they have each treatment. This is also being expanded to other seriously ill kids.) Library bags (with 2 handles). Xray bags (to fit 45cm x 37.5cm xray envelopes) with a pocket on the outside for the report (23cm x 12cm)

summertime hats for Meg's Beanie basket and Lyell McEwin Oncology unit in Adelaide (SA)

summer weight chemo hats for women and men - in cotton or light weight soft yarns. No seams or indiscernible seams and no lacy patterns with holes

Creating Links (NSW) - supports vulnerable families, foster carers/children, people with disabilities, and provide financial information for people. They would be interested in receiving baby and children items. Many of their families are single parents and migrants to Australia with no family support. www.creatinglinks.org.au
